Level 1 Assist higher level technician in Interpreting test data Perform basic requirements of an overhaul with assistance from a higher level technician which involves: Disassembly Cleaning Inspection of subassemblies and piece parts Reassembly Final functional testing Generating a parts request Basic operation of test stands Basic theory and operation of components Assist higher level technician in assessing the reasons for failure of a part. Complete shop traveler paperwork Be familia Level 2 Perform all duties of level 1 Technician: and Know the process flow for repairing a unit Calculate the estimated man-hours required for repair The ability to determine if a unit is BER Detailed knowledge of the assemblies for technician level 1 and be able to: Interpret test data Assess reasons for failure Train lower level technicians Know the FAA approved data that applies to the unit: CMM document number and REV level Service Bulletins Airworthiness Directive Introduction to complex components. Level 3 Perform all duties of a level 2 Technician: and Have a thorough understanding of the process flow for repairing a unit Have a detailed working knowledge of complex hydraulic assemblies Understand all aspects of repair and troubleshooting hydraulic units Develop training for lower level techniciansr with the technical data used to repair the unitsEstimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
